Tummy

I am out of space for pictures on this blog, but I thought I would use it for a few sentences to update about Graig. He is back to having fluids and so far not nauseated. This morning he had a mixture of apple, grape, and cranberry juice. It was the greatest thing in his book. Graig is starting to feel hungry again which is a good sign (at least I think it is). Even when he started fluids last week, he never felt hungry, just so thirsty from his dry mouth. He does not have pain from his surgical site. He still is on IV antibiotics and IV fluids.

All sounds great right? Now here comes the absurd part. He has somehow messed his shoulder up. He calls it a sleep injury. I call it ridiculous. He can't move his arm above his shoulder. He is in a lot of pain. Told him he needs to say "shoulder" when he is in pain so I know it's not a big deal. You know like his incision or the terrible reflux he had. Sigh. It will all be better when he can sleep in his own bed. I am convinced.

He should be done with his antibiotics today or tomorrow. He has to tolerate food before he is discharged. So a few more days here it is.

Kiersten is here!!!!!

I am so excited about my niece.  Like "can't hold the elevator door for my own family because they are walking to slow in the hospital" excited.  And by family I really do my my husband and my own child.  I mean look at her.  Wouldn't you abandon your family to snuggle with her? She is so soft, tiny, and smells amazing.   My kids are boys that get into everything and look and smell that way too.

Oh I can't wait to go back and see her again.

We have pictures of the boys with their cousin, but Uncle Tim took them on his camera.  And something tells me he is a little busy right about now.

Mac & Cheese

Graig isn't a huge fan of cold cheese.  The smell of melted cheese nauseates him.  I love melted cheese.  And lately throwing together a quick mac & cheese has been a hit with the Stinks.  So somebody might just have to get used to it.

He was halfway done at this point.  Which is huge since he never takes more than 3 bites of dinner.

Both kids are enjoying looking at their dad.  And Graig is trying to not look disgusted by them.  And I am just loving the whole thing; dinner and entertainment.  After all I do make a pretty yummy mac & cheese.

Potty Training

Jeremy has been potty training for a little over two weeks.  Well more like I have been potty training him for two weeks.  We just needed to set some time aside that we consistently got him to use the potty.  It has been going great.  We haven't had that many accidents, but this morning he didn't make it probably because he was wearing a belt.  Oh well.  But this is a conversation I had with my husband this morning regarding an accident.

Me: jeremy pooped in his underwear
i ran out of wipes
i went to get more from the van
jeremy was running away from me
i had to get to him before he smeared his goodness everywhere
got to him in time in the living room
cleaned him up in the bathroom
but
during this time ben got into the garage
and was disgusting when i got to him
 Graig:  i'm laughing
